Yoga & Meditation Enlighten

To keep the body in good health is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear – Buddha

Yoga

Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in ancient India. First codified by the sage Patanjali in his Yoga Sutras around 400 C.E, the practice was in fact handed down from teacher to student long before this text arose. The word yoga is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning “to yoke,” or “to unite”. The practice aims to create union between body, mind and spirit, as well as between the individual self and universal consciousness. The ultimate experience of yoga is liberation from suffering because in improves mental health, helps stress relief, it may reduce anxiety and improves the quality of life.

Meditation

Mediation is a practice of mindfulness, or focusing on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness. There’s no correct and wrong way to meditate. That’s because meditation can take many different forms to experience the formless state of being. Many studies show nowadays the immense benefits of meditation such as decreasing symptoms of anxiety or depression, improving ability to think, concentrate and solve problems and better ability to adapt to and overcome emotions.

It serves as a foundational practice for many other styles of yoga and is characterized by its slower pace and focus on alignment and mindfulness. Hatha Yoga aims to harmonize the body and mind, making it accessible to practitioners of all levels, and is often used to improve flexibility, strength, and relaxation.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic and fluid practice that links movement with breath, creating a continuous flow of postures performed with awareness and intention. Each sequence transitions smoothly, cultivating strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination while keeping the mind focused and present. The practice emphasizes conscious breathing, rhythm, and mindful transitions rather than fixed poses, allowing each class to feel creative and responsive. Somatic Yoga supports embodied awareness, emotional regulation, and deep relaxation, offering a nourishing practice that fosters self-connection, presence, and a renewed sense of comfort within the body.

Qigong cultivates vitality, inner stability, and embodied presence, offering a meditative experience in motion that supports both physical well-being and mental clarity.

Meditation & Pranayama

Meditation & Pranayama is an evening practice designed to support release, grounding, and inner quiet at the end of the day. Rooted in traditional breathing techniques and time-honored meditation methods, this class gently guides the nervous system out of activity and into rest. Through conscious breathwork, simple seated practices, and moments of stillness, accumulated tension can soften and the mind is invited to let go. The focus is not on effort or control, but on allowing breath and awareness to naturally settle the body and emotions. This practice offers a calm transition from the outer rhythms of the day into a more spacious, receptive state — supporting relaxation, clarity, and a sense of inner ease before the evening unfolds.

Aqua Move

Aqua Move Yoga is a unique form of yoga practiced in water, typically in a pool setting. This practice combines traditional yoga postures with the buoyancy and resistance of water, allowing for a gentle yet effective workout. The water supports the body, reducing strain on joints and enhancing flexibility while providing a calming environment. Aqua Move Yoga focuses on breath control, balance, and relaxation, making it suitable for individuals of all fitness levels, including those with physical limitations. The practice promotes overall well-being, stress relief, and a deeper connection to the body.

Crystal & Gong Sound Bath

Crystal & Gong Sound Bath is a deeply immersive sound experience that invites the nervous system to slow down and the mind to settle into stillness. Through the resonant vibrations of gongs and crystal bowls, sound waves gently move through the body, helping to release tension, balance energy, and restore inner harmony. The practice supports deep relaxation, meditative awareness, and emotional release, allowing the body to naturally reset. As sound layers unfold, participants are guided into a state of calm presence, clarity, and profound rest.

Reiki & Restorative

Reiki & Restorative yoga are complementary practices that promote relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. Reiki is a form of energy healing that involves the gentle placement of hands on or near the body to channel universal life energy. Practitioners aim to balance the body’s energy, reduce stress, and facilitate emotional and physical healing. Restorative yoga, on the other hand, is a gentle style of yoga that focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation. It uses props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks to support the body in various poses, allowing for deep relaxation and the release of tension. Together, these practices can enhance mindfulness, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of peace and balance, making them ideal for those seeking holistic approaches to health and wellness.

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga is a gentle and supportive practice that uses the chair as a stable foundation for mindful movement, breath, and awareness. Movements are slow, accessible, and guided with care, allowing the body to soften without strain or pressure. Rather than pushing or stretching deeply, Chair Yoga invites ease, stability, and presence. Through simple postures, gentle mobilization, and moments of rest, tension can release and the nervous system is given space to settle. This practice supports mobility, circulation, and balance while fostering a sense of safety and self-connection. Chair Yoga is ideal for those seeking a calm, nourishing approach to movement — offering comfort, clarity, and embodied well-being in a grounded and inclusive way.

Angelo

Chakra & Energy Alignment, Meditation, Pranayama & Shamanic Rituals

Introducing Angelo, Shamanic Healer, Meditation and Yoga teacher, Master of Ceremonial Cacao, Wellness Ambassador.

Beautiful words from Angelo below. I dedicate my life to the well-Being of human Beings and transferring energy healing and ancient wisdom. I am grateful to touched the lives of many people through teachings, healings and retreat programs – as well as seminars. It’s my mission to make Meditation, Yoga, Healing and Spirituality accessible to today’s busy minds. The approach does not attribute a belief system, but offers powerful methods of self-transformation.

Before I woke up from the illusion of life I lived from an automatic pilot point of view by following the expectation of others and the society. After my studies of business management I became director of a huge company with more than 100 employees. Running every day behind myself and catching one appointment to the other one. From the outside it looked like I had everything but from the inside I felt exhausted.

Years passed by and it became more clear. I had to change. After a period of suffering, stress, anxiety and panic attacks I made a decision for the first time from within my inner being and true life purpose. I left all behind to travel around the globe with my backpack.

In Cambodia I had my first deeper illumination. That was the reason why I stayed there for many years, meditating at the temples of Angkor Wat, writing my first book and following Meditation, Yoga and Healing programs. I then chose to venture out and returned for a period of time to my homeland, The Netherlands. However, I found that these old ties limited me in my deeper purpose so I moved to Malaga in Spain, Aachen Germany, Bangkok Thailand and Siem Reap Cambodia. I learned many new things about holism as well as shamanism and my teachings became a combination of both.

Now, I know that the path is more illuminating than achieving externals goals. That there is a difference between knowing the path and walking it.

I have the privilege to be guided by 2 teachers for more than 20 years. On one hand, stepping into the energy of holism (meditation, yoga and chakra healings) and on the other hand embracing the wisdom of shamanism (cacao ceremonies, grounding and plant based medicine). I joined many retreats to rediscover my true self and got deep connections during shamanic ceremonies.

Today, even after 10 years of teaching and healing other beautiful beings, every single day is a gift in where I can transfer holistic insides and shamanic wisdoms. So grateful to be guided and to be your guide.

Candice

Stress, Reiki, Tension, and Trauma Therapist

I’m a body-based therapist specializing in stress, tension, and trauma. My work draws on over 500 hours of yoga teacher training, a B.A. in Psychology, and professional qualifications in TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) and Somatic Experiencing. I’m also a certified life coach and NLP practitioner.

For over seven years, I worked with at-risk communities in inner-city Pretoria, South Africa. In my final two years there, I offered therapeutic yoga sessions to vulnerable women, supporting them in managing trauma-related stress, anxiety, and depression. This experience revealed the profound power of body-based healing—where individuals become active participants in their own recovery.

Since then, I have extended my practice to people from all walks of life. I’ve facilitated wellness-centered sessions in corporate environments, supported the elderly in managing physical pain, and co-created immersive experiences that blend yoga, music, and art—celebrating our innate need for self-expression through movement.

My approach is gentle, intuitive, and grounded in the belief that healing begins when we reconnect with the body’s innate intelligence. Through mindful movement, breathwork (pranayama), and deep rest practices such as yoga nidra—woven with the intention to move toward freedom—we co-create space for release, resilience, and a renewed sense of wholeness.

I feel deeply honored to continue expanding my yoga practice and evolving my understanding of what it means to be human: rooted in our stories, empowered by our resilience, and connected as conscious companions on the path of personal development.

Tommy

Yoga Teacher

Upon attending my first yoga class in 2006 in Budapest (my long time home), I felt the benefits deeply. After 25 chaotic years of working in marketing, I felt dissatisfied with my life; l have decided to shift away from having a packed schedule toward leading a more balanced, simpler, slower existence and focusing on just being happy. I craved a change and moved to Thailand in 2018 where my focus shifted to yoga, and my practice became a central component of my everyday life.

I am still on this journey: I am working hard on being happier and healthier, sometimes more successfully, sometimes less, but I am deeply thankful to have found yoga, as the more I practice, the more I understand the world. At times, I have truly no idea what is going on around me, yet it is actually in these moments which yoga helps stabilize me the most. I now appreciate that I don’t have to know and I don’t have to understand everything.  I am trying to think less about who I am supposed to be and more about who I really am.

I completed my yoga teacher training in May 2023 in Rishikesh, India. I am enthusiastic about both sharing my personal experiences and learning from others about yoga, healthy living, and life! As a teacher, my greatest joy comes at the end of a practice when I see real change on the participants’ faces, with tension released, minds slowed down, and bodies experiencing the deepest sense of calm and inner peace.
