Navutu Dreams Resort & Wellness Retreat Joins Refill Not Landfill Campaign
REFILL NOT LANDFILL is an initiative to reduce disposable water bottle waste and Navutu Dreams is delighted to announce that it has joined the green movement along with more than 40 members of Siem Reap’s hospitality and tourism industries and development sector. The movement aims to reduce the amount of plastic waste produced in Cambodia with an initiative to replace one-time use plastic water bottles with refillable ones.
A Tourism Created Problem, A Tourism Driven Solution
Visiting tourists as well as residents of Cambodia are encouraged to use one refillable aluminum bottle which they can have refilled at participating organizations ranging from hotels, resorts, restaurants, shops, cafes and other enterprises. The REFILL NOT LANDFILL campaign has laid out a map of places/refill stations across Siem Reap where people can refill their water bottles with clean drinking water for free. Thus, Navutu Dreams will now offer free drinking water to anyone who brings their own refillable water bottle.
Plastic wastage is becoming a global issue and about 4,600,000 plastic bottles are used by tourists every single month in Cambodia alone, according to the statistics. Through this initiative of refilling water bottles instead of buying a new single plastic bottle every time, everyone is taking part to help preserve the environment and the beauty of the Kingdom of Wonder. All the business and individuals who are taking part of this movement help make a positive impact not just in Cambodia but also in the world.
Our Samadhi Yoga by Navutu Dreams refillable aluminum water bottles are already on board and guests can now purchase and take part in this wonderful campaign. If you are interested in purchasing a refillable water bottle, you may email reservations@navutudreams.com or call +855 (0) 63 964 864.
