He worked as a teaching staff at Angkor University Environmental Association where he shared his knowledge about environmental protection, responsible tourism and he also taught livelihood programs in rural communities. When asked why he decided to shift his career, he says that working in the front office may be a bit challenging but he enjoys dealing with different people and he has already loved this kind of job.
Ms. Im Saey
Ms. Im Saey is one of our resort’s housekeeping staff. She is from Tachech Village which is a few kilometers away from the resort. She joined the Navutu Team back in October 2013. Restocking room supplies, replacing used linens with new ones, inspecting the cleanliness of each room, monitoring guests’ laundry bags and responding to guests queries and requests are just some of her daily routine at the resort. Her colleagues describe her as a hardworking person who is always focused on her work.
Mr. Beung Kasith
Mr. Beung Kasith is the tuk tuk driver for the month of November 2015. He is from Bakong Disctrict which is 17 km away from the city centre. Mr. Kasith has been a tuk tuk driver for about 13 years and has been with the resort for already three years. Helpful, friendly, punctual and honest best describe Mr. Kasith according to his colleagues. When asked how he started working with the resort, he shared an interesting which nobody knew about. He met the owners at a service apartment in town where he used to work for. However, when the business became in bad shape, the service apartment had to let go of some of their staff. Luckily, the Italian owners offered him a job at the resort just right after losing his job.
