Meet Rémi Delchambre – Navutu’s General Manager

Navutu Dreams welcomes Rémi Delchambre to the team! Hailing from France – the world’s largest hospitality operator – Rémi has lived and worked in Cambodia for 15 years. He started working at Navutu in April, just when tourism was beginning to pick up again after two years of Covid19 onslaught in the industry. During this time, he got to know the property, the staff, and Siem Reap itself. We are thrilled to have such an experienced GM bring the resort to new heights. We sat down with Rémi to learn more about his background and vision for Navutu Dreams.

1. How did your journey in the hospitality industry start?

When I was 19 years old, I moved to London and got a job in a fancy French Cafe in the Kensington area; I got the chance to learn English while serving celebrities. After that, I started working in Cambodia and Australia, where my skills were challenged, sharpened, and brought to a higher level.

2. What attracted you to Cambodia?

I love adventure traveling, and as a 19-year-old backpacker, Cambodia was on top of my list, being a cheap and easy destination; I later decided to move to Cambodia when at 20, I became a guesthouse manager. While the trade posed many challenges, it helped me grow and hone my skills in positively developing and empowering my team.

3. What are you most excited about in your new role in Navutu?

Being new to Siem Reap, I get to discover a new city and a new team. The most exciting thing is that after the COVID time we have just lived, I am excited and motivated to get Cambodia and Navutu back on everyone’s traveling plans.

4. Tell us about your experience with the Navutu Team.

Everyone has welcomed me very well, and everyone is ready to work and bring their knowledge and experience together to help Navutu perform its best and be one of the top resorts in Siem Reap.

5. What is your vision for Navutu? And what can guests look forward to in the coming months?

Navutu is a resort & wellness retreat to experience, not only a place to drop off your bag and sleep; we want our guests to feel at home and even more (otherwise, why travel)? We want our guests to feel special, and our team is dedicated to helping them get the best out of the Navutu experience.

6. How would you describe Navutu in one sentence?

Navutu dreams resort and wellness center is a place to, Relax, Rejuvenate, and Recharge.
