While it may feel like the world is going mad around us, don’t we all crave a little good old fashioned community spirit? Doing something larger than the self by bringing people together with a chance to share in health, wellness, creativity, inspiration and healing?
That is exactly what Navutu Dreams is delivering on December 11th for their Navutu Wellness Fair, which not only launches Samadhi Yoga; their newly re-designed in-house Siem Reap yoga studio, but is also a taster of all that Siem Reap has to offer in terms of health, nutrition, creative crafts, and responsibly sourced products to keep you balanced no matter what is happening around you!
Bring your healthy appetite and prepare to be refreshed and relaxed with free entry and discounts on all that there is to try, from yoga classes for adults and kids to spa treatments, shiatsu massage, acupuncture, freshly squeezed detox juices and smoothies, healthy food, nutritious treats, locally-made products, handicrafts, natural honey, tribal products and a Kid’s Funzone to keep your little ones occupied while you ply yourself with guilt free goodies.
Participating Enterprises for the Navutu Wellness Fair
Think of it as a well-deserved holiday for the soul, a chance to meet with kindred spirits, while supporting some truly unique home-grown Siem Reap businesses. For example, Bambu Stage will be bringing their traditional Asian Puppet making, where young and old can learn to make the delicate and beautiful puppets which have been telling Cambodian Folk stories for generations.
Kru Khmer will be there to offer natural herbal products, bath salts, organic teas, creams, essential oils and balms – all created entirely natural from herbs sourced from Cambodian farmers.
Oriental Gems will be at the fair with a varied selection of jewels from the earth! Oriental Gems is a unique store in Siem Reap as they are the only distributor of handwoven scarves and fabric as well as handicrafts made by the indigenous people in the hills between Laos and Cambodia.
The Siem Reap Food Co-Op will be there which was founded this year by a small group of committed growers and producers who wanted to make healthy, affordable food available to everyone who wanted it. Their all inclusive ethos is really down to earth and their organic and local produce is extremely fairly priced. Aside from the wholesome fruit and veg in their store they also have nut butters, granola bars, pesto and more!
Nurture your skin and glow like a Bandrui, which was a female Druid in old Celtic language. Bandrui will be there with their 100% natural and holistic health and beauty products, they can show you all the power and benefits of Mother Nature!
Speaking of the power of nature, NatureWild will be showcasing their wild honey products, organic local produce and more. NatureWild is a social enterprise that links community producers, companies and consumers for more sustainable livelihoods, businesses and lifestyles.
Tribal Roots will also join us to showcase their handmade jewelry, clothing and tribal products. Tribal Roots fuses elements of ancestral design like the cultures of mainly South America, Mexico, Middle East, India and Asia in general. Highlighting the tribal style in metal (bronze, copper, silver, alpaca, and surgical steel added recently) with power elements or amulets like: semiprecious stones, teeth of wild animals (totem), seeds, snails, feathers, among others. Their work has has a trajectory of 14 years of travel and investigation on techniques, culture, and energetic influence of the places in the creation of their jewelry.
Diwo Gallery will be at the wellness fair to feature a selection of the most refined Khmer statues and Buddhas and will display home decor, books and an exhibition of Thierry Diwo’ s photography.
Hinu who hails from New Zealand will also be present to share her knowledge about Iridology which is an alternative medicine technique whose proponents claim that patterns, colors, and other characteristics of the iris can be examined to determine information about a patient’s systemic health. Hinu is a Naturopath, an Iridology practitioner and an intuitive tarot reader. She will be offering tarot reading and consultations at the wellness fair.

2pm – Free Yoga & Mediation
Yoga teachers introduction, yoga class with Maria and meditation with Louise. 45 mins
In between the classes you can rejuvenate and refresh with a choice of fresh and healthy juices, smoothies, nutritious food and wellness treats from a selection of local and home-grown businesses. Otherwise you can inspire the artist within by browsing the creative crafts stalls and enjoy some healthy herbal teas, while the kids enjoy the Funzone.
3pm – Kids Funday Yoga Class
Dorka will be leading the young yogis. 30 mins
While the kids are occupied, lose yourself completely with a discounted spa treatment, shiatsu massage or acupuncture (Treatments will be 50% off). Otherwise you can inspire the artist within by browsing the creative crafts stalls and enjoy some healthy herbal teas.
4pm – Qigong Class with TCM Expert, Denise Dupree
Come experience and learn the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Navutu Wellness Fair. Our TCM expert Denise Dupree will be introducing the practice of Qigong, an Ancient Chinese system of exercising and meditation that makes the mind and spirit tranquil, improves well-being, cultivates health and long-life.
5pm – Navutu Wellness Fair Closing Ceremony
Movement Alchemy on the rooftop terrace – Let’s get carried away with music and ceremony. Our yoga teachers will lead you through your senses and we highly encourage letting go! It will be a dancing movement community gathering in a fun, sunset rooftop experience.
