We spoke last week about Navutu Dreams’ August Appreciation party: This August was a busy month for Navutu Dreams. Between a surprise birthday luncheon, a Malaysian dinner party, and a beautiful five-day on-site wedding, the Navutu Dreams staff worked very hard this past month to ensure absolute guest satisfaction. Ms. Sharon Dhillon, Navutu’s General Manager wanted to celebrate the team’s hard work and dedication.
After feasting on Khmer roast chicken, sandwiches, mini burgers and Black Forest Cake, the staff had to prepare for their annual staff holiday.
Navutu Dreams Vacation in Cambodia
Navutu Dreams staff – from Housekeeping and Landscaping to our team of tuk-tuk drivers – are regularly reminded that their hard work at the resort is appreciated. A happy team makes for happy guests at Navutu’s Resort & Spa in Siem Reap.
So, how does this Siem Reap Resort take care of the team that helps them run so smoothly? They do the same thing for their staff that they do for their guests: help them to relax, re-balance and rejuvenate. Every autumn, Navutu Dreams treats their staff to a tropical holiday in Cambodia.
Sun, Sand and Seafood in Sihanoukville
On the first morning of the Pchum Ben holiday, Navutu Dreams’ staff climbed aboard a coach to sunny, sandy Sihanoukville. One of the country’s only seaside towns, Sihanoukville is a popular getaway for travelers and locals alike. Even when you live in a gorgeous tropical city like Siem Reap, spending a few days with your toes in the sand is very therapeutic.
The Best Beaches in Sihanoukville
The entire Navutu Dreams staff spent their days exploring Sihanoukville’s many beautiful beaches. They spent their mornings at Otres Beach and Ocheteal Beach before heading back to their hotel resort to relax by the pool.
“We played many different games at the beach and in the sea!”
Day Trip to Koh Rong Samloem Island
Cambodia native Reaksmey shared of their holiday:
“We went to Koh Rong Samloem island, which is one of the most beautiful islands I’ve seen. This was a great opportunity for team building, as the staff spends time getting to know each other more and more.”
What to Eat in Sihanoukville
When we asked Reaksmey what the staff ate on holiday, she had an answer immediately: “Seafood of course!” Sihanoukville is known for its fresh local seafood, caught every morning and grilled to perfection over hot coals right on the beach. Street vendors walk along the beaches with portable cooking stations so they can walk right up to holiday-goers, show them the catch of the day, and then grill and season the seafood to order.
The Holiday Highlights?
On the last day of the trip, the staff celebrated with a barbecue feast on Otres Beach. With white sand, sun and sea,
“We had a barbecue with cold drinks and many different games. The staff really enjoyed it!”
Now that the Navutu Dreams team has returned to Siem Reap refreshed, the resort is open for business once again with an invigorated staff ready to make your tropical holiday getaway just perfect for you and your loved ones. Relax, Re-balance and Rejuvenate in style and comfort in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
